Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at hello@rebuildingrelationships.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We offer individual therapy, recovery coaching, groups, and couples therapy—both in-person (for local clients) and online (for clients across multiple states/countries). Specialties include betrayal trauma, relationship challenges, sex addiction recovery support (for partners and couples), trauma healing, and identity rebuilding. We also offer support for anxiety, shame, boundaries, codependency, life transitions, and more.

Betrayal trauma therapy helps individuals who’ve been deeply hurt by someone they relied on for safety and connection—often in the context of infidelity, secrecy, emotional abuse, or sex addiction.

Treatment is designed to help you process shock, reclaim your sense of self, regulate your nervous system, and rebuild trust in your own voice and intuition. You're not overreacting. You're responding to a rupture in your core relationship. And there is a way through.

Yes. We work with couples who want to heal from betrayal, attachment ruptures, damaged trust, and emotional disconnection. We help couples develop deeper intimacy and enriched communication. We use structured tools and trauma-informed approaches to help both partners build emotional safety, clarity, and shared agreements. Sessions include practical work around formal disclosure, communication issues, relational repair, boundaries, and rebuilding trust.

We do. We work with men who are actively in recovery and want to heal the damage done, understand their emotional world, develop empathy, and become safe partners. If you're ready to take full responsibility—and want support doing the hard, inner work—we are here to guide that process with clarity, compassion, and accountability.

Great therapy is built on trust and connection. If you’re looking for someone who combines evidence-based tools (CBT, IFS, Brainspotting, EMDR, DBT, ACT, EFT) with warmth, honesty, and practical strategies—you may feel right at home here. I work best with people who are ready to show up, even when things feel messy. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just craving support—let’s talk.

You can expect a mix of psychoeducation, self-inquiry, skill-building, and emotional processing. We help you understand why you feel what you feel and provide you with tools to navigate it. We integrate modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, EMDR, Cognitive Behvioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic therapies, and trauma-informed mindfulness.

No. Currently, we are a private-pay provider. However, many clients can use their out-of-network benefits to get reimbursed for sessions. We provide a monthly superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company. If finances are a concern, let’s talk about options.

The first step is to reach out and schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation, so we can determine if we’re a good fit. No pressure—just a conversation. You can email us directly at hello@rebuildingrelationships.org. Once we schedule, you’ll receive intake paperwork and we’ll go from there.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, either 50 or 75 minutes long, depending on their individual needs. We may adjust the frequency to biweekly or as-needed. The pace is always collaborative.

Absolutely. You can attend alone or with your partner. In some cases, we begin with individual work before shifting into couples sessions. If you’re unsure what you need, we can talk it through during your consultation.

Yes! While betrayal trauma is a core specialty, we also work with people coping with anxiety, grief, emotional dysregulation, parenting, spiritual growth, boundaries, and personal reinvention. If something inside you is aching for clarity, change, or deeper connection—I can help.

Rebuilding Relationships LLC is based in North Carolina, but we offer virtual sessions to clients worldwide. Virtual sessions are secure, confidential, and accessible through Zoom.

Yes. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable and even scary. But if you're here reading this, it means you're already taking the first step. You don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t need to be “ready” or “healed.” You just have to show up—and I’ll meet you there, with no judgment and deep respect for your courage.

She stays current with the latest research in trauma, attachment, and post-traumatic growth, and she's committed to ongoing education to bring the best tools and insights to her clients. And beyond credentials—she cares deeply. Her approach is relational, warm, and empowering. You can expect honesty, compassion, structure, and a safe space to unravel what hurts and reconnect with what’s true.
