Filters, Blockers

Rating Internet Filtering and Accountability Software for Use by Recovering Sex Addicts

1. Covenant Eyes

• Designed specifically for adults dealing with porn/sex addiction.

• Uses Screen Accountability, not just URL blocking—this means it monitors actual screen activity (including incognito).

• Sends detailed reports to an accountability partner (friend, sponsor, coach).

• VPN included to monitor all apps and browsers.

• Offers educational tools, recovery podcasts, and support. Use this with a committed partner, and it’s incredibly powerful.

2. Canopy

• AI scans and blocks explicit images and videos in real time, even ones that aren’t on known porn sites.

• Works even in incognito mode or private apps.

• You can’t easily bypass it, and it doesn’t rely on outdated blacklists.

• Also blocks nudity on social media and image-based searches.

Best part: If you're tech-savvy and know how to get around traditional blockers, Canopy still works.

3. Pluckeye

• By default, blocks everything—you manually approve websites, with a delay.

• Great for people who want to rewire compulsive behavior by removing instant gratification.

• You can set delays for changes (like 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week), so you can’t make impulsive exceptions.

Best part: This is for people who really mean business—it’s strict, minimalistic, and effective.

4. Fortify (Now Called Relay)

 • Not a blocker, but a recovery app with daily tracking, lessons, journaling, and a support community.

• Helps you understand the psychology of addiction, how to beat urges, and how to rebuild confidence.

• Can track triggers and wins over time.

Pair this with Covenant Eyes or Canopy for a killer combo.
